On the first day of the tour, we will take you to explore the stunning sites of the Sacred Valley, including Pisac, Moray, Salineras de Maras, and Ollantaytambo. The next morning, we will take you to Machu Picchu to see the sunrise over the majestic mountains. Our experienced guide will lead you through the ruins, pointing out the most important features and sharing fascinating stories about this mystical site. The tour will last for 2.5 hours, after which you will have the option to relax and explore a little more on your own. You can take some time to wander through the ruins, take photos, or just soak up the incredible atmosphere of this awe inspiring site. Then, when you are ready, you can make your way back down to Aguas Calientes and enjoy a leisurely lunch or explore the town before your train ride back to Cusco.

There are some extra options that you may consider doing, such as climbing either Machu Picchu Mountain or Huayna Picchu Mountain, which offer stunning views of the surrounding area. However, please note that spaces for these additional climbs are limited and require booking well in advance. Our tour does not include these climbs, but if you are interested, we can assist you in booking them separately.

Upon arrival, we’ll take you to your hostel, and later in the evening, around 7:30 pm, a guide will meet you for an orientation of Machu Picchu, ensuring you’re prepared for the next day’s adventure.

To fully experience Machu Picchu, an early start is necessary. You will need to wake up early to take the bus to the citadel and arrive around 6 am. If you’re lucky with the weather, you can witness the impressive sunrise over the majestic ruins, and you’ll have the additional advantage of seeing Machu Picchu with fewer people around.

Once you arrive, our experienced guide will take you on a guided tour of the citadel for approximately 2.5 hours, sharing fascinating information about the history and significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site. After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own, take photos, and immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings.

For those seeking an additional challenge and incredible views, you can purchase extra tickets to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. These tickets are limited and should be bought in advance.

After you visit Machu Picchu, you’ll return to Aguas Calientes by bus. Once in town, you’ll have time to explore and have lunch (not included). Then, you’ll take the train back to Ollantaytambo, which takes about 1.5 hours. From there, our transfer will take you back to Cusco by car, which is an additional 2 hours.
